Dr Anjana Jayasree

Dr. Anjana Jayasree is a forward-thinking biomedical research scientist specializing in cell culture, microbiology, nano-formulation and biofabrication techniques. She has extensive expertise in developing nanoporous titanium implants aimed at enhancing bioactivity for osseointegration, soft tissue integration, and antibacterial efficacy, developing polymeric scaffolds for bone and tendon tissue engineering and also developing therapeutic bandage systems for diabetic wound healing.
Dr. Jayarsee has a proven track record of successful national and international collaborations, delivering well-received conference presentations, publishing peer-reviewed scientific articles, and securing research grants. Her skills in research management, scientific communication, and leadership are complemented by her experience mentoring students and coordinating laboratory operations. She completed her PhD in December 2023 from the University of Queensland. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Pharmacy, UQ, working innovative formulations and investigations into their antibacterial efficacy to address antimicrobial resistance.
