Dr Lyman Ngiam

Antibiotic resistance is a topic close to Dr Ngiam’s heart. Having witnessed the dire consequences of antibiotic resistance, his goal is to contribute towards reducing its burden. He completed a PhD in an antibiotic resistance-related topic, where his previous research focused on investigating the efficacy and limitations of bacteriophage for treatment against antibiotic resistance bacteria.

With the completion of his PhD, he is glad to be onboard CEAStAR to focus on AMR research in water environments as well as development of advanced treatment methods to combat the spread of antibiotic resistance in water systems.
